3D design, modeling, and automated machine guidance (AMG) are the core of intelligent construction technologies. AMG allows for linking sophisticated digital design data with construction equipment to control the construction operation with improved accuracy and speed. Though making contractors’ fleet AMG-enabled and training operators would require a significant initial investment, the benefits from the implemented AMG include worker safety, reduced agency cost increased contractors’ profitability, and increased overall quality of the built environment
